It is found in Malaysia, Indonesia, the southern part of Thailand, on the island of Palawan in the Philippines, and the Little Nicobar, and Great Nicobar Islands of India. There have been reports of other specimens in nearby regions as well. [1] The Nicobar Cricket-frog thrives in swampy, grassy, shrubby, and wooded areas as well as disturbed environments such as towns, ditches, and logging roads. The frog currently has a stable population.[1] This frog usually eats tiny insects, in particular flies.
