(February 2010) Indian Aerospace and Engineering (abbreviated as IAE) is an aviation institute in Navi Mumbai, India. Located in the area of Turbhe, the college is home to a Fokker F-27 and a Bonanza. The college offers distinctive licensed based courses in: Heavy aircraft Jet engines Instrument Systems Electronic systems Radio navigation Communication systems Apart from basic aerospace courses, the college has a unique tie-up with IGNOU to provide degrees in aerospace engineering. The college has its sister branches in other parts of India such as Bhopal, Pune, Bhubaneshwar, Bengaluru, Kochi and Guna. The college also provides degrees in aeronautical, mechanical, and electronics engineering and caters to just 30 students per batch.The college has one of the biggest Jet Engine labs in the country. Recreation The famous Jawahar canteen is located in the college campus and is a hangout place for students and serves many different Indian foods. The canteen is run by a sounth Indian society and is one of the favourite and affordable eating joints in the area. Cultural Activities The college organises its own cultural fest, known as Vibgyor, every year. The fest is famous for its unique blend of performances by students from almost every part of India. The college organizes its sports festival, Dhawak, every year, which runs for 10 days and covers almost all forms of indoor and outdoor games including cricket and football. Hostels The college has separate boys’ and ladies’ hostels.
