He currently plays for Italian Serie A club A.S. Roma as a central midfielder. Parma He then left São Paulo to join Parma of the Italian Serie A on a free transfer, after having been discovered by Arrigo Sacchi, Parma's football director at the time. He played two seasons Parma and became one of the team's most important players. Palermo In June 2006, he was signed by U.S. Città di Palermo, also of Serie A.[1][2] His teammate Mark Bresciano also followed him to move to the Sicilian side. Roma In January 2010, his agent Gilmar Rinaldi announced Simplício would not extend his contract with Palermo, set to expire in June 2010. He would instead look to join another team in the 2010–11 season. On 1 June 2010, Fabio signed for A.S. Roma on a three year deal worth €1.8m per season, effective on 1 July 2010.[3] International On 17 November 2009, Fabio represented Brazil in a friendly match against Oman.
