(December 2010) Gould Knoll (72°14′S 100°35′W / 72.233°S 100.583°W / -72.233; -100.583) is a mostly ice-covered rock knoll that rises on the east margin of Hale Glacier, Thurston Island, at the point the glacier enters Abbot Ice Shelf. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after William G.
