Britsch (born 1938) is an emeritus professor of humanities and a former academic vice president at Brigham Young University. Biography Britsch was born in 1937, the year before his father Ralph Britsch joined the faculty of BYU. After serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Switzerland and Austria, Britsch graduated from BYU in 1962. While studying at BYU, Britsch met his wife, Dorothy Crofts (who died in 2003). They were married in the Bern Switzerland Temple.[1] He then went on to receive and MA and Ph.D. from Florida State University and then was appointed a member of BYU's faculty in 1966. Poems by Britsch have been published in the Ensign.[2] From 1992 to 1998 Britsch served as BYU's academic vice president. The Britsches are the parents of two children.
