The squadron has several responsibilities, which include operation and maintenance of installed radar and communications equipment, various support activities including food service, supply, power production, civil engineering, administration, transportation, and personnel services, as well maintaining nearby radar systems, including a FPS-24 search radar and a FPS-90 height finder radar.[1] The 219th EIS has several available facilities for both military and civilian personnel, including buildings for the radar and communications equipment, barracks for personnel, family housing, a power plant, dining hall, gym, motor pool, and administrative activities.
